It's [BB]'s 18th birthday!

And here we are, eighteen grand years later and we’ve done a lot. We’ve seen a lot.

If the community was a person, it would be able to drink, vote and various other adult-specific tasks in most countries.

[BB] is probably the project that I personally have worked on the longest and I imagine that’s true of the other senior management at [BB]. When I joined [BB] back in 06/07 for the first time, I had no idea that it would quite literally be a life-changing action that would lead to me writing this blog post nearly two decades later.

I’d like to give a shoutout to the key people who have helped us on this adventure: Ben, Cpf, Ducky, Kaiden, Santamon, and Whitefang. However, there has been such a huge range of people who made [BB] a fantastic place, from our roleplay roots to the surfers of today. Even if you’re not mentioned here, you’re still incredibly appreciated and I cannot thank you all enough.

The fact I can look back on what we have collectively accomplished and have a sense of pride is something that I will always cherish. I hope that you all feel the same way.

The anniversary event comes with the trial Platinum for two weeks via /tryplat or !tryplat. Additionally the anniversary crate has been updated this year with an additional [Eternal Crate] and for the collectors out there, a new 18th anniversary exclusive item! I hope you enjoy trying to gather all seven of the variations.

Oh and it’s confirmed that 2024 is the year of the replay system. Replays (recording and viewing) are now available on both Surf servers, with Replays being stored for any record that achieves at least a monthly time. Once some other logistics have been sorted then replay storage for all runs will be available for Platinum members, but more on that closer to the time.
